Gucci is one of the main global brands working in the high fashion and luxury items industry. It is a member of the Gucci Group, a department of the French holding group Kering. The Italian entrepreneur Guccio Gucci founded the firm in 1921 in Florence. His venture started out with a small shop selling travel items and a small business that produced leather goods. Soon afterwards, he managed to create one of the most prominent fashion brands in the world.
Today, Alessandro Michele, the creative director of the Gucci maison, leads the firm. Our company best represents Italian style and craftsmanship at an international level with its clothing lines for men, women and children and its accessories line that features bags, shoes, luggage items, fragrances and jewellery, watches and small leather goods.
Since last year, the brand has been involved in a new project for growth, whose aim is to promote investments in Italy to enhance production and increase hiring numbers. We plan on employing 900 new staff members by the end of this year. A group of new employees has already started working for our company, but the recruitment is going to continue in the coming months. Out of the aforementioned 900 people, 400 have been allocated to the recently inaugurated factory of Scandicci, near Florence.
