What will the exam be like?
Where: on Moodle in the multimedia lab.
How long: 50 minutes to answer 50 questions.
Question format: multiple choice, matching, fill in the gap, short response, drag and drop.

What will be on the exam?
Questions will cover four main areas:
- reading comprehension
- vocabulary, collocations and idioms
- grammar
- key concepts and terms (eg. affixation, compounding etc).

There will be 50 questions relating to material covered with Karen Percival in your lettore lessons.

Look at the revision lists on Moodle to guide your revision.

Is there a practice exam?
Yes, a practice exam will be available on Moodle before the exam.
The practice exam will have 25 questions in 25 minutes.
I will send a notification when the mock exam is available.

You don’t have to take the practice exam and your mark won’t be affected by the practice exam. It’s an opportunity for you to see what type of questions you will be asked and see which areas you might need to revise further.

When should I do the practice exam?
I recommend revising first and taking the exam when you feel confident about the course material.
You can repeat the exam, but you won’t always get different questions.

I’m entitled to extra time, what should I do?
If you have additional learning needs which entitle you to extra time or additional equipment then send me an email: carolinebethany.dormor@units.it

You will also need to contact the Servizio DSA.

When will I know my result?
Some of the open response questions need to be marked / verified by me.
You should get your final result within 1 week of the exam.
The result will appear on Moodle.
You will have the opportunity to refuse the mark on Moodle. I will send reminders through Moodle for this.
Your exam result will only be visible on ESSE3 after you’ve done the translation module exam.
