Lab 215-214

Safety and behavior code in laboratory.

First hands-on session in the lab: digital oscilloscopes, cables, connectors, pulse generator, NIM Crate.

Electrical signals: voltage and current.

Ideal and real generators for current or voltage: internal resistors in parallel or series on an external load.

Analog and digital signals: characteristics, differences; AC and DC components.

Logic families: NIM, CMOS, LVDS.

Usage of oscilloscopes features on pulse (square wave waveform): setting vertical and horizontal scales, trigger modes, measurements, statistical functions, AC and DC input coupling, data and waveform acquisition.
