In colonial empires, Public Works created the institutional framework for different manifestations of mobility connecting metropolis and colonies transposing empires through the circulation of people, ideas and technology.
Centered in the former provinces of East Portuguese Empire (Goa, Macau, Mozambique and Timor), this project intends to study the structure and activities of Public Works in each territory and reconstruct the networks established between them.
