This course provides an introduction to Advanced Numerical Analysis techniques for scientific and intensive computing with focus on numerical methods for Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) and the solution of the large linear/nonlinear systems obtained upon discretization.
Solving such systems of equations robustly and efficiently is a long-standing challenge in scientific computing.
The course will cover the theoretical aspects of the main numerical methods for solving these problems. But algorithmic and implementation aspects will also be discussed and constitute an important part of the course.

The course is divided into lectures and hands-on sessions.
