INFO ABOUT LECTURES AND EXAMS (PART OF M. GIRARDI)
Part of the course is based on computer in student laboratory, a lot of stuff can be taken from moodle2, plus fits files via flashusb, the use of an individual flashusb is strongly suggested. Outdoor part at the local Observatory will be made with the help of Dr. Giula Iafrate depending on the agreement/funds of Department and Observatory.
ACTIVITIES AND EXERCISES
The are many home works to make, you can skip one but not more. If you skip, before the exams you have to present all of them!
If you are a good student=no skip homeworks, you will present only one argument.
For instance, for the year 2018/2019, this is the list of possible arguments for final exam/Girardi's part, ask to the teacher for the stuff you need: 1. Astrometry of an image; 2. Analysis of results for Radio Observations (V sim const in the I quadrant and Galaxy map - best in II and III quadrants); 3. Photometry (of an image, with galaxy/star classification too, or other); 4. Reduction and z measure of one one spectrum.
In other years, other arguments are possible depending of the year, i.e. the description of the experince in Asiago, a light curve of a varable, and so on.
FOR THE PART OF PROF. CRISTIANI, ASK HIM, GENERALLY A LAPTOP IS USEFUL AND THE EXAM IS BASED ON A PROPOSAL
