Dear All!
I would like to make a census about your current state
for what concerns the access to the
Orfeo HPC facility in Area Science Park.
I know that some of you already have access to it,
although the old queue (dssc) now is inactive.
We will soon create a new one, for the purpose of your experimentation.
If you do not have an account on Orfeo, please send me an email with object [ORFEO]
by the end of this weekend in which you report
- name and surname
- username (default should be name.surname)
- id (matricola)
- public key as a text file attachment (ask your colleagues if you are in doubt!)
We will give you access to 2 or 3 gpu nodes
(gpu nodes: 2 Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6226 CPU @ 2.70GHz (24 cores) and 256GB + 2 Nvidia V100 32GB RAM each)
The operative modality to
- access the gpu nodes
- to launch jobs
will be explained in a dedicated short video that we will post here next week.
It will not be an interactive access, you will have to launch jobs, and wait for their completion.
The development can be done in local on your pc or in colab, where you can do
test with small-medium size data samples, and the training (or other computationally/memory intensive
tasks) will be done on Orfeo.
